A CONCERT FOR VICTIMS
OF HURRICANE SANDY
On November 1st Hurricane «Sandy» ravaged the east coast of the United States, mainly in New York City and the state of New Jersey.
For this reason, two days ago there was held a benefit concert in The Madison Square Garden of New York.
The world of rock and roll has always supported charitable causes.
Many singers and bands participated in the concert: Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Jon Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and the Who.
Bruce opened this evening singing to hope with one of his most beautiful piece: “Land of hope and dreams”. Later Bon Jovi sang his famous song “Living on a Prayer”.
Another of the main performances of the night was Paul McCartney singing with some members of Nirvana.
Finally, The Rolling Stones also participated in charitable party.
The show was broadcast on 34 channels in the United States and 24 global channels and will be broadcast throughout the country on Clear Channel radio stations. It was also be streamed online. About 13,500 people attended the concert, which was produced by James L. Dolan,
